• The Anycubic Kobra X Series ACE GEN2 Shift Extruder is the mechanical gear-drive module housed inside the ACE GEN2 printhead. Designed specifically for high-speed, multi-color, and multi-material 3D printing, it acts as the dual-gear grip drive that feeds, retractions, and shifts control during filament loading and unloading operations. 
• Dual-Gear Extrusion System: Utilizes hardened steel drive gears with aggressive tooth profiles to grip 1.75 mm filament tightly without slipping, ensuring precise volumetric flow during high-speed printing.
• Shift Mechanism for Multi-Color: Features an internal shifting/clutch mechanism designed to interface with the ACE multi-material unit. It allows the extruder gears to disengage or engage during filament purging, tip-cutting, and retraction cycles to prevent grinding.
• Hardened Steel Gear Drive: Built to handle both standard filaments (PLA, PETG) and abrasive composite materials (Carbon Fiber, Wood, Glow-in-the-Dark) without excessive gear tooth wear.Integrated Drive Tensioner: Features an adjustable tensioning screw/spring assembly to fine-tune gear gripping force for soft materials like TPU or rigid engineering plastics like ABS and ASA.
• Direct Printhead Integration: Mounts directly behind the S010401 cutter assembly and above the quick-release hotend, keeping the filament travel path minimal to reduce buckling.
